Clearly, we can understand that this isn’t the best time for powerful and expensive supercars. However, the allure of vehicles such as the McLaren 720S is too much to miss out on – even in these somewhat difficult times. It’s the nature of the beast; these vehicles look incredible, the driver even better and they are certainly one of the best ways to spend your money, even in times like these.
The McLaren 720S embodies the British carmaker’s relentless quest to push the limits of what’s possible. In turn, the 720S is lighter, stronger, faster, and more agile than any McLaren car ever before. From its expressive exterior lines, aggressively shaped to allow the airflow to flow effortlessly around its body, giving it a remarkable drag coefficient, all the while keeping it stuck to the ground in dynamic driving situations, this vehicle is really beautiful from every angle. Everything on this car is designed to improve its power delivery and sheer performance, thus creating one of the best looking modern supercars. Simply put, the McLaren 720S is a machine you’ll turn your head around every time you actually see it.
The contours of the 720S are distinctly McLaren, yet the details are boldly different. Our designers took inspiration from the Great White Shark, a beautifully sleek yet brutally efficient hunting machine. The resulting design for the 720S is exquisite form following ingenious function. The smooth flow of the exterior lines manipulates onrushing air to reduce drag and cool the engine. Slim pillars on the teardrop-shaped cabin allow for the extraordinary glass canopy that floods the interior with daylight and offers unrivalled visibility.
The beating heart of the 720S is a new and fearsomely powerful M840T engine with 720 horsepower and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. Thanks to Twin Electrically-Actuated Twin Scroll Turbochargers, the 4.0 V8 engine can achieve some impressive performance numbers. For example, the McLaren 720S will sprint from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 2.9 seconds and go from 0-124mph (0-200km/h) in just 7.8 seconds – faster than some high-performance hot hatches take for the 0-62mph run. And that’s spectacular any day of the week for us.
For this striking Amethyst Black McLaren 720S, its owner and our authorized dealer Pfaff Tuning had a few things planned for it. Even though the car’s design is out of this world, it lacked the same feel in the wheel department. Thus, the owner turned to us to make him a set of wheels worthy of this magnificent machine. And we definitely delivered.
